When you clone one installation onto an existing one... "foobar"! XP for one has have a medium inplace such as running the installer for creating a second Windows directory while the first is running. The second installation would then go to a WindowXP or some other similar name with at least one letter changed in the name of the directory from "Windows".
It was possible but never recommended with the older Fat OSs like having 95 and 98 custom installed. When that was tried here shortly after 98SE's release 98 was installed to "Window98" while 95 was seen in Windows. during the default 98 startup the option to load 95 was seen there. Cloning if sucessful would most likely overwrite the current if it even worked.
