I recently purchased an old dell latitude d630
Ubuntu is great for me... but
it took 3 years to get the person I got this laptop for to say 'folder' instead of
'i put it somewhere, now i can't find it'
anyway they insist on using windows xp
when i attempt to install windows it get to the point where it say 'starting windows' then that fine blue screen with secret numbers appears out of nowhere.
when that blue screen appears it tell me to run fdisk and update the drivers
I'm thinking i have to get the drivers from dell. load the bios and disk utility and maybe able to install xp.
any suggestions other than 'leave ubuntu on the box and let the user learn something new' ....
ok, i'm ready for my close up.
