Ubuntu Crashes on a regular basis

i seem to be having problems with the new ubuntu release.
it keeps hanging everytime when i run some kind of program. or sometimes it just hangs because it felt like it.lol

kinda reminds me of Vista when it came out..hahahahaha

so anyway, i was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue?

It seems that the hardrive stops responding. the reason i make this assumption is because , none of the keyboard keys or the mouse works. the only thing that works is the power button.

inactivity from keyboard and mouse wouldn't be from hard-drive failure. sounds more like something is screwy with the drivers. really it could be a number of things though..

ubuntu installs quick enough, i'd just try reinstalling it.

Sounds like Ubuntu is just being Ubuntu to me. I have had nothing but problems out of it. From crashing to driver problems they never end. Now mine doesn't even boot any more oh well at least we didn't pay for it.
