Uhoh Format

Hey guys,
I've heard that even after you format your computer you can recover information off of it. Is this true? I recently bought a computer and the builder made the mistake of putting the Windows Vista Premium 32 bit instead of the 64. I reformatted the computer no more then 2 weeks ago and had thought I saved everything I needed. Of course though, I deleted one very important document. I cant for the life of me find the document on any one of my other computers. Can anyone tell me weither or not this file is lost forever or if some how I can recover it. I do have the program "Search For Deleted Files" but have yet to use it. Will this software work if the computer has been formated? thanks for reading and hope you have an answer.

Sorry it's gone :( Undelete programs can save a deleted file if your'e quick and before any writing is done to the disc as the deleted files space is flagged up ready to be written to, but you have reformatted and I presume installed an OS so it's probably overwritten.

Unless you formatted it multiple times, I think it's still recoverable if you have not written over those sectors already (I think it is something like that). But I don't think it's easy to do.
