the only thing missing is a high end audio recording solution for less than $1000..........Suggest anything that might lower the price and enhance its value(performance vs. cost) or a purely higher quality component. I look forward to the suggestions.

First off, that is totally unessary unless you are a big time, professional editor or something. Why would you ever spend that much, when next year, there will be all new things out. First off, SLI is usless so don't even bother with that.

What the hell are you planning on doing with an $8,000 + machine!?

Spending 8K on a rig is in no way justifiable, unless you are a) filthy rich (or your parents are) b) are going to be using this rig for professional purposes c) plan to make this computer a server that you will entirely dedicate to me for the cost of 0$/month (get going on that fiber optics installation) .

Basicly, if it's not for work, forget it. Lose some components. 1.5 TB of HDD space are useless unless you work intensively with video footage. Forget the 2x 7800 GTXs. If this is a home gaming rig, one will suffice unless you want hi-res gaming. If it's a work rig get a professional GFX card.

**** no.......

I am working on marketing a machine like this affordable in the same way financing allows you to own a car. Would you be willing to lease or finance the best consumer computing experience possible?? How much could you afford, how much will you be willing to pay. What I want to know, how can I enhance its value. Similarly priced but better performance. Or same performance but lower price.

Finance an $8000 computer.....right... I think most people would rather spend $8000 financing a car. By the time they get the PC paid for, it will be obsolete.
Think about this, if you charge say... $100/month they will have it paid off in 7 years. say you charge $200/month they would have it paid off in in little over 3 years. This is also including that it is under $8000. In 5 years, this super high-end PC will be just another ~$2000 rig. Also $2500 now wil probably buy the best computing experience possible or at least the best gaming experience possible. Not even Alienware would steep to an $8000 rig. VoodooPC might :P

...... I once saw that Alienware had ALX at ~$8000 thats when they first started selling it, not absolutely sure though.

My rig is wicked sweet, but I wonder if you'll be gaming and database editing like I am. I hope you're happy, but I think 4500$ is way more than enough for a PC.

No way. Did you check the evolution we're going? It'll probably be at 1000$ in five years. Wow, I wonder what we'll have by then.
