ok i got one hard drive that has been Partitioned into 3 hard drives{ i didnt do this, my dad did} an i want to un-partion them, atleast drive c and e cause drive c only has 6 GB an e has around 48 gb's. i got the norton software for it. I was just wondering is there any way i could screw up anything bad?

Short ansewer is yes, long ansewer is:

1. Do you have any thing importent installed on any of them or and files that you want?

2. What Drive is You OS installed on?

i run on microsoft xp professional. its installed onto drive c
see my drive c = 6.83 GB
drive E= 48.8 Gb
drive f=56.1 GB

drive f can stay partioned, all i want to do is merge drive c and e together so i can have more space to add install more rpograms, cause when i try it will say not enough dick space.
any ways, no i dont have important stuff installed on c{ thats the default hard drive}
all i have is xp,norton,zone alarm nero, and thats about it. and a couple other lil programs but i can re- install them

and on drive e all i got is all my movies,music, stuff like that, but i can burn them to disc's.
cause i read that u gotta format one of the drives that u want to merge it with

You could try partition magic to merge them or you can use the XP install CD to delete the 2 partitions you want to merge and recreate them as 1 then reinstall XP. Deleting a partition will cause all data on it to be deleted as well so backup anything you need (you should do this anyway, partition magic doesn't always work).

im using norton portion magic, im backing up my files now, an im fixing to test it, i think i just found a easer way, im reading the guide that came with norton, about taking freespace from one portion and adding it to another portion
