unable to access folder drive after pc went bang!

hi my pc recently went bang! i had a seagate 1 tb with all my music on it. (sorry running windows 7). This drive was shared around the house via home group. However i rebuilt system and reinstalled evrything the same way but when i try to access the files i get " you do not currently have permission to acess this folder"...any help would be most gratefull.....

Log on to a full admin account and take ownership of the files. set the folder they are in to be shared with everyone. That should be it.
