unable to boot

hey guys, wonder if anybody could help me out with my monitor. I was booting up one of my comps yesterday and the monitor jus refuses to show anything. The power to the cpu is on the light on the cpu is steady but the monitor screen is just black with a blinking light at the power switch. I guess the problem doesnt really lie with the monitor cos it works with another cpu, so i think theres someting wrong with the cpu system. Anybody got any ideas? thanks alot...

Okay, sometimes your old monitor may not be compatible with your new system. It's also possible that your new system isn't configured correctly.

Tell us, what is your system in which you are trying to connect your computer up too... and the model and make of your monitor? PLEASE?!???!

yeah, you need to give us some more information. is the monitor plugged in, both to the comp and the AC plug, is your video card being used or is your integrated graphics hooked up, (in that case, you have to remove the video card completely to use the integrated graphix)
