i just found a folder in my c:program files folder called bonjour, and since i had no idea why there was a french greeting in the form of a folder on my computer i right clicked and propertied it. turns out it is by apple which shouldn't have surprised me as apple is the only company "trendy" enough to have such a stupid name and considering they market all of their products to retards this could only have been their work. i tried to delete it but all it says is "Try Again" with absolutely no reason of why i am trying again listed. i checked my active processes and nothing sharing the same name is running. i cant figure out why im not able to delete it, any ideas?

well if retards could figure it out, I don't see why you are having such a hard time?

Bonjour is a networking protocol that allows wireless and other network devices to find each other on the network. I suspect it was installed due to an iTunes install that may allow you to connect to iTunes from an iPod touch or iPhone over wifi.

It may be a required component of iTunes or something else. I suggest uninstalling iTunes and then reinstalling it with the advanced options and taking the option off to install bonjour, if that is even possible.

If running Vista, try taking ownership of the folder

You could also try a freeware program called Unlocker, it will tell you any processes that have any handles on any file or folder.

I've deleted it a few times with no bad effects (though I haven't ever owned an iPod, iPhone or anything that has a lower-case i in front of the name.)

Also, since I hate the crapware that is Quicktime (which I believe also creates "Bonjour"), I use Quicktime Alternative

you can try the del command from the command line or the attrib command to change it to -r -w so you can delete it.
