D dB_Twelve New Member Sep 3, 2007 #1 Hi, I tried defragging in Windows 2000 and it does not defrag the drive completely. I tried it in Safe Mode aswell and the same result. Anyone know how I can get my drive totaly defragmented? Thanks

T terii New Member Sep 3, 2007 #2 Run a disk check on your drive before defrag. That is one of the primary reasons why defrag will not complete or sometimes will not start.
