hey
i have pulled my SRT-5290(strong technologies) PVR hard drive out and connected it to my computer.
i am hoping to copy files ON TO the hard drive.
But the drive does not show in explorer.
i believe it is not formatted as it as about 80GB of UNALLOCTED space.
Seeing as i have already found a program to copy off the hard drive onto the windows hard drive, there must be a way to do the reverse, copy files onto the hard drive?
ne ideas appreciated?

So you want to copy files from your current system to the hard drive? It sounds like it has some other partition on it. You just need to re-partition it using computer management and format it.

Unallocated means there is no partition on the HDD. Connect the hard drive and go into Computer Management > Disk Management and you can create one. You can then choose a file system and format the partition.

yeh nah c the problem is
the hard drive is taken out of a PVR, and i cannot change the formatt of the hard drive other wise my PVR will not reconise it properly.
so im looking for some other way to transfer files to and from it with changing the formatt of it.
As i said i no it must be do-able cause i have found a program(KAONRIPPER) which scans the hard drive and displays its contense, and even converts the stored video to m2v and a files and save's them onto my noraml drive.
