unhealable files

Is there anyway that, if my virus protection software cannot heal and remove a virus, that the virus can be removed otherwise? There are a few trackers and trojans from all the music and other stuff I download and I'm wanting to get rid of them.

One thing I can tell you... Do an reinstall and get rid of Morpeus :D Probably downloaded something with an virus...

a reinstall? Do you mean a system recovery? or do you mean just delete morpheus, because I don't use morpheus I just use limewire
 
I would recommend doing a system recovery, but not knowing the virus/trojan/worm you have, it might've infected your backup files as well that are stored on your other HDD or other partition.

If you want to be 75% sure you got rid of all the viruses and such, doing a system recovery, otherwise read the following.

I would suggest WDClear. link here
Save the file to a floppy disc.
Restart your computer, and clear your main HDD.
WDClear changes all the magnetic 1's on your HDD that hold information to 0's which means that everything is guarnteed to be gone.
After WDClear is done doing its job, reinstall whatever version of windows you'd like.

Be sure to backup onto DVD/CD anything you want to keep.
Pictures, music, etc, etc.
Programs can not be backed-up, but only if you have the .exe file, zip file, or whatever means you had of getting on there in the first place.
