Uninstall Nortons

Hello, can anyone help with the following?

I wish to uninstall Nortons Security from my computer. I have tried through the control panel/add-remove software option, but it didn't work. Then I tried to manually delete the program, some files wouldn't delete and some would, so now I have half the files left.

I don't know what else to try, can anyone help with this??

Also, I now can't access secure websites does anyone know how to solve this also?

No, add/remove program from control panel doesn't remove all traces of Norton.

Try a registry cleaner maybe?

unstall it from the control panel again, try restarting your computer first. After you restart your computer and do it again. Then download avast. A great virus protection.
