Unlocking phones

I am with T-mobile and I had a spare samsung gravity 2. I gave it to my friend who is at&t and they can't use it, how can they unlock the phone so they can use it on at&t?

Just take it to your local phone shop (not a retail place, I mean a place where they sell cases and accessories and recharges and stuff) and they should do it for something like $10.

Call your wireless provider and ask them for the unlock code. If they ask why you want it just say you're going out of the country and want to take your phone with you.
