Unmountable Boot Volume Problem

Got a new desktop, Compaq Evo D510 SFF. Worked great for about a month, then I just randomly got the blue screen with "Unmountable Boot Volume" problem. So, researched that problem, tried the discs that failed so I finally got a Windows XP Installation CD and ran it. Everything went smoothly until I get to the repair screen and type in that command "chkdsk /p." Then it takes about a minute and tells me that there's something corrupt and shuts down on me... Now I go to run the Windows Installation CD again and it gets to the end where it says 'Windows is starting up' on the bottom then gets me to a blue screen saying that I have a hardware issue and it can't start up for the safety of my computer. So I'm guessing this means I need to get a new hard drive? Any options would be appreciated.
