I want to reformat my 40GB and which is in two partitions, how can i unpartial them, ussaly there are formating options in the bio's and I can do it from there, but not on this mobo....

I was to reformat it, so then i put use it to back up some files, and then I'm going to reformat my main 120gb and reinstall window's and such.

edit:Meh, F it, I'm just going to leave it partition's and back the stuff up. This will me my lthread to post how crappy and long this is going to take now, :( I had reformat's and reinstalling everything, It take's so long. But hopefully how that i have a 40gb harddrive I can back SOME stuff up so it wont be as bad. you guy's can come read this log and basicly just make fun of me hahah.

OK, so you want to merge partitions? Are you worried about losing data?

I don't know which BIOS' you have used, but I've enver seen formatting options in a BIOS.

yeah, I wanted to merge, and no dont care about losng data i want to format it all again and get everything off of there as it is.

And All of mine had options of it, they were all old one's except for this one so maybe just the older one's ahd it untill eaier ways came to go it, if you can tell me how quickly to do it then i will, or else i'm just going to format as it is.

OK, if you just want to merge, run fdisk from a floppy and delete the two old partitions and create a new 40gig one.

Or get Norton Partition Magic and join them together. Except with norton you wont lose data.

Except I have said that I'm formating the disk anyways.

I formated them already, backuped some stuff, and reformated my main, and installed windows. Wasn't even closes to as bad as last time with my 24x CD rom drive, and I also have a 80wire40pin PIDEP cable instead of the 40wire 40pin like last time, it went alot faster w00t w00t.

Now I just have to wait and hope to god my problem's were virus related on my harddrive, This computer just seems to get REALLY messed up randomly, first my mouse curous problem, which i fixed with a new PSU that has less noise(electrical nouise) then my keyboard issue which i fixed with a new keybaord, then my blue screen's which i fixed with nwe ram, which all of this started happening in one day, and my PC was running hella slow, and other random error's(The error's seemed to be RAM error's, but i just replaced it, so I'm hoping it was a problem with data and not mobo or VRAM.)

Now just to start tweaking like hell and reset everythign up and move back over my backed up stuff. This oght to take several houses, last time the total operation was over 10 including my games, but this time i backuped up all my steam, gcf files so i downt have to download over 10GB from a slow ass server again.
