Having an utter nightmare with my wireless connection, its a fair distance between my system and my wireless router but to combat that I bought a netgear wireless draft N router and adaptor about 6 months ago, always been rock solid at around a 250Mbps but lately its been hopeless, right now its say at 13.5Mbps and generally never gets above 80.
Everything from internet explorer to firefox is painfully slow at opening pages and both browsers can hang for a few seconds from time to time.
I've updated the drivers for the wireless, reset the router, scanned the system for malware and virus problems using Kaspersky all to no avail. I am in the process of adding another 2gb of memory to the system which will arrive next week.
Anyone suggest anything else that might be causing such an issue with the connection. I can sit here with my iPod Touch or Nokia N95 from the same place my PC is and the speed is just fine so its certainly a system issue somewhere.
