No idea where to start really.
ran memtest, and got some memory errors, but then ran memtest86 in dos mode, and it passed fine.
Got this error and many similar when things just restart
BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : 804FCA30 BCP3 : ED06FBA4
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

which I think is a memory error, but unsure.

Athlon64
Asus A8v deluxe
Corsair platinum memory.
Any ideas of what to test?

I've dropped CasL to 2.5 from auto and made not much change.
Is there any thing to test the Ati 9800 pro video card, or mainboard?

thanks

try dropping you memory speed down to 333MHz. i know its meant to run at 400 but i've had a problem like this before. if your system runs fine afterwards it would suggest a memory problem. if this doesn't work you'll need to try different memory modules.
if the problem still persists it could be a problem with the memory controller on board the processor.
failing that it could be heat related

hi, thanks
dont think itsheat related, only running at 32deg C
How do I drop the memory to333 ? Bios or other ?
sorry to be thick. Dropped the Cas L to 2.5 from 2 that helped a bit I think.

Mem test in Dos is fine though.

I think they meant that when used individually, each RAM stick performs properly, but when used together, these issues arise. If this is the case, see if, in the BIOS, the RAM is set to operate in Dual-channel mode. If so, deactivate it, and see if the issues persist. If not, have you tried putting the RAM into different slots? You have (I believe) 4 RAM slots on that board, so try putting the RAM sticks (I'm assuming it's 2 sticks) into the slots that they were not previously occupying. Let us know how it works (or doesn't work ;))

but then ran memtest86 in dos mode, and it passed fine.
How many times did u run it?

try dropping you memory speed down to 333MHz.
Now unfortunately its not that simple since there's no direct memory clock control (due to the ondie memory controller)

Dropped the Cas L to 2.5 from 2 that helped a bit I think.
That's why you're getting errors: are u running the appropriate timings AND vDimm? :) Try jacking vdimm to 2.7 or 2.8v
