alright, let's see who can keep their system running the longest without NEEDING a restart (aka needing is different than not needing, for instance you need a restart when you get a BSD every 10 minutes, alternatively you do NOT need a restart if you just want to download your windows updates and get them out of the way).
you need to post your operating system and there are various ways to show your system's up-time, but i just use my network connection and it shows how long i've been connected, also how long my system has been up since the last restart.
i did this in college with some friends and i got xp to stay stable for 52 days which was the longest of all my friends, haha. but after 52 days winamp started crashing every time i opened it, and i can't live without my music, so restarting at that point was NEEDED. my old roomie's windows ME lasted only 18 days, haha.
this could be dumb, but i thought it would be interesting. i'm at 24 days right now. really it would be best for us all to start on the same day and see who lasts the longest. i've heard of some people going 9 months or so. that's nuts.
