i've recently installed windows 7 and have been trying to get my drivers installed. i tried installing my video card graphics and it gives me the yellow triangle. so i uninstall it, scan for hardware changes and it automatically finds drivers for me....and then gives me the yellow triangle again. whats up with that? its a radeon 9600 all-in-wonder. the error says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems." its code 43. thanks in advance

oh and how do i find out what an unknown device is?

okay, i reinstalled the package from the site, and this time it installs catalyst but it says no driver was installed. make sure you have chosen the proper driver for your hardware...or something close to that

Note: AMD’s DirectX 9 ATI Radeon graphics accelerators are not officially supported under Windows 7. If the user chooses to, they can install the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista graphics driver under Windows 7. Please be aware that none of the new Windows 7 graphics driver (WDDM 1.1) features are supported (as the Windows Vista level graphics driver is limited to WDDM 1.0 level support). Using the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista driver under Windows 7 is not officially supported by AMD, and as such AMD will not provide any form of customer support for users running in this configuration

so if they aren't officially supported then...they work? its just going to give me that error cause it doesn't recognize it?

Its more or less saying to install the Vista driver and see what happens.:P

The 9600 is just a pretty old card and AMD/ATI has just dropped driver support.
