Update my Computer!

I haven't been completely up-to-date on the best computer hardware (see signature below) . I know that the Core 2 Duo's are still the best for OC'ing (although what about the new AMD Black Editions?).

Anyways, I need a new computer, but just the main parts: CPU, motherboard, RAM, GPU, PSU, and any cooling solutions for those parts, except for case fans. I want a system that is overclockable and will do best in games (including DX10). The budget is $700.

Thank you!

lol, and this is instead of selling it? :P

Don't worry, i'll build an upgrade list on Newegg when we get back from breakfast this morning.

Thanks Geoff. I didn't know if the nVidia 650i chipset was stable.

I would be changing the GPU to an ATI x2900PRO however, even though newegg doesn't sell them. I found other places online with them. All they are is an underclocked 2900XT for much less money.

The CPU and motherboard seem to be good choices, along with the memory and CPU cooler, but what about that PSU? I would like modular if possible, because I hate cramming extra wires into corners of the case.

Thats good all around, but the video card is lacking a bit.

The 650i is a solid mid-ranged board, but if your going with an ATI video card then I would go with a P35 motherboard, such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059

I only chose the 650i because it was SLI-ready if you wanted to use two 8800's, however overall the P35 would be better (especially in overclocking).

As for the 2900PRO, it seems to be a great card as well, although a bit pricier (from a quick Froogle search).

The PSU I picked out looks to be a great one for the price, with 56A on the +12V Rails, while the other 650-700W PSU's in the same price or cheaper seem to have under 30A.
