Update to xp

I have old pc with window 98 o/s p3-733 mhz 512mram. I try to install this pc with win xp, after i format the hardirve and boot up cdrom for win xp, it say NO EMULATION , PRESS ANY KEY FOR TO BOOT CD ROM, AFTER I PRESSED A KEY IT SAY INVALID SYSTEM DRIVE? can you give me direction.Thank you
 
No i don't have flopppy in the floppy drive, I also go to bios to setup boot to cdrom. Please give me more info. Thank you
