Updates load but web pages don't show

Hello,

I hope somebody can help i have removed Norton AV from my computer. I can still receive automatic updates. Also, the computer tells me it is connected to net (both LAN and Wireless work). HOWEVER, I cannot view any web pages and the windows diagnostics say that everything is fine.

Please help me or the computer gets it (either that or the teddy.) :(

I get that same prob sumtimes, whats your setup? cuz when I get it, it means I have configured sumthing wrong(but I run my Inet through my server, b4 it gets to my computers), was it right after u removing norton? Cuz, norton messes with that stuff,

Try disabling an re-enabling your wireless adapt. (start/control panel/network and sharing center(network connections in xp) right-clicking an hit disable. Wait like 10 secs then right-click again an hit enable)

If that doesnt work try going into cmd(start/run/then type "cmd" or start/all programs/accessories/command prompt (in Vista)). Then type "ipconfig /release", then when that finishes "ipconfig /renew" that manualy updates your IP.

If that didnt work then idk
 
Also, which i think maybe part of the problem, i cannot remove norton fully. Computer says i do not have authorisation to remove despite being set up as administrator and no other users are set up other than public which i believe is just a guest user. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
