updates to IE

Hello all. I somehow stopped allowing IE to update so it would be compatible with a specific application in Quickbooks. I have since updated QB so I want to allow IE to update itself again.

I forgot how I disallowed the updates. In the control panel of Windows 7 I have all updates allowed. There was something I did in IE to stop it, and now I can't find the box to uncheck it.

My Windows updates automatically, but IE stays the same. I somehow selected this option to not update IE, but I can not remember how I did it.
 
Don't really know how you could for IE as a whole. Look at the tool bar at the top of IE if you have it visible. Click on help and pick abut IE, make sure Install new versions automatically is checked.
