Updating Bios to 45 nm CPU

I just got Asus P5K-E mobo and intel CPU Q9300.
The computer store guy told me that I have to update my bios for 45 nm CPU or can expect mesages as:

CPU failure
and computer reboot itself

If anyone did such update, can you please explain, step by step, how to do it (I am not a computer-guy).

as far as i know it will work right off.

but he might well be right, what im thinking might just apply to dual core 45nm's
 
just google it, its too many steps to type out. you will need to get the update BIOS from Asus, and you will need another CPU to run the machine with during the update. its not hard, and Asus boards have built in screw-up reversal (may not be the technical jargon
