Do you have a blank floppy and a floppy drive installed? When downloading the latest bios version you copy the file with the "bin" three digit extension onto a floppy along with the Asus awdflash.exe utility. You also copy the same bin file to the root of C. Once this is done you boot from the floppy to load the flash utility there and type in the name of the old bios name seen there followed by the name of the new bin exactly as spelled.
Once typed in correctly you then press the enter key to the version loaded as the flash utility reprograms the bios with the updated version. Before doing this however you may want that second floppy onhand to backup the current bios in case you see a bad flash there. That can happen with either a bad disk, bad or incomplete copy to disk, or even a bad download.
