Updating Dell Inspiron 1520 Processor

Hi!

I bought a Dell Inspiron 1520 about 2 years ago. I have an Intel Dual Core 1.80GHz, 4Gb of RAM and a nVidia GeForce 8600M Graphics Card.

I searched a couple forums and found a link to this site : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...actory=1157&SubCategory=759&SpeTabStoreType=0 and was wondering if this Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819111006 would be compatible with my laptop if I want to upgrade?

I was planning maybe on upgrading in the next year or so and install it myself if it's not too tricky. I upgraded my RAM a few months ago and everything went fine.

You would have to call Dell to see what processors are compatible with the motherboard on the laptop.

Yeah I figured I'd have to do that... Their phone service's crap, but I guess a new processor's worth it
