Updating my BIOS

I got a few questions as I've never done this before, and I'm under the impression that messing with the BIOS isn't exactly safe, so I want to make sure I do this right.

This is the link for the BIOS updates, click here

First off, whats the best way to go about flashing a BIOS?

Second, with those updates, should I do each one starting from the bottom to the top, or should the latest one include all the other updates?

Thanks for any help!

Any particular reason you want to update your bios? If you aren't having any issues don't worry about it. You don't want to take the chance on killing your motherboard for no reason.

I just recently updated my BIOS today :) I only did it because i installed a new CPU and HDD but if your not doing any hardware updates then i suggest you just leave your BIOS how it is updating the BIOS without new hardware updates could lead to a failure in booting your PC.

Well, the reason I want to update it is because this is an entirely new computer using the phenom II and the board doesn't fully recognize the new processor and I was hoping that the new bios would improve performance because it would be able to utilize it better.

Take the updates associated with the computer or hardware only. Never because its there. If it won't do nothing then leave it alone. Always read what the update does. if it won't help ya then leave it alone.
