Updating Wireless Networking driver?

Hello! I was wondering if updating my Wi-Fi driver will make the connection between my PC and the router faster? Or what difference will it make at all?

It may make it faster, slower or there will be no change at all. However, wireless is slower than being hardwired anyway. How far away are you from the router?
 
Not very far away, either I'm in the room above the router, or the room next to it. I was wondering if there is any reason for me to update it?
 
How is your signal strength? What model of router do you have? Does it have external antennas?
