Upgrade Acer 7520 Video Card

I want to upgrade my 3yr old Nvidia card that came with my Acer 7520 laptop. I've upgraded to Windows 7 and it turns out this card won't support Windows 7. Vista is all it's up to and I cannot abide Vista. It worked fine for awhile but now it's now failing....... I'm having screen discolorations (the screen was recently replaced so I doubt that to be the source).
I know the card is not part of the motherboard, so I believe upgrading is possible, but I'm not sure how to go about it. What to look for in specs, etc.

Any input or advice is more than welcome.

sadly most cheap laptops you cannot upgrade the video card, its typically soldered to the board. you may be out of luck and will have to buy a new model. some more expensive models do offer gpu upgrades.
