Upgrade an older Compaq Presario to dual video

I have an older Compaq Presario computer. I think I purchased it in 2004.

It only has 1 computer monitor plug and I would really like to run 2.

Since I have no idea what my current video card is can I just buy a dual and install that and stop using the current one?

I am going to be doing a lot of work with Adobe Premiere and After effects so would a 256mb be good enough?

Two external 5.25" bays (one available)

One internal 3.5" (occupied)


1 Parallel, 1 Serial, 2 PS/2 (back)

if you buy a video card that supports dual monitors you can just install that and plug in 2 monitors.
