Hello,
Anyone can tell me what kind of bios i need to upgrade? Because i am trouble about the windows xp installation, so i going to upgrade the BIOS.
This is my exist bios model and brand specfication:

And i found a newer bios, but i don't sure is it whether suitable to my computer, that newer bios is:http://www.bios-drivers.com/drivers/83/83323.htm

Do not download the BIOS from anywhere but the manufacturer's website. I realize a lot of sites are just advertising sites that rip off manufacturers links and leach from their servers (I found one that tried it with the ATi drivers.. It turns out ATi installed anti-leach software. cool  )

What we need is the precise make and model of your board and then we can head you in the right direction.

EDIT: I just went to the site you pointed out.. Avoid it. It is an advertising site. They have absolutely no content. They are leaches. In this particular case they point you to yet another website that you have to register for that will spam you if you give them a legitimate email addy, then they redirect you again to the legitimate download, in some cases leaching the file from the legitimate servers. Don't give them the traffic.

First off, unless you have a problem with the computer, there's no real reason to upgrade the bios...

Scrap whatever that program is as it's probably junk. Pop open your case and look at the motherboard. Find a brand and search their website. Programs like CPUz sometimes give pretty good information, too. You could try it first, but I prefer to open the case and see what's actually inside

Eh, and I'm assuming you can't just look at the front of your machine and get some model number... :P

But i really trouble about the Damn windows xp installation, it always appear a blue screen error, that's why make me cannot install windows xp. Can you tell me what should i do? Firstly, i though it might has a bad RAM in my cpu, then i changed it, the blue screen error still occur. Very Angry:mad:

Here is my cpu specification:
Thanks for help me..:)

Ok. No motherboard manufacturer there... But I'm thinking. Blue screen errors are not necessarily the BIOS. Actually they are very seldom the BIOS. You probably have some hardware issue. I mean, that's a P3 guy. That's an old system. It is very reasonable to think that a hardware problem may have developed.

Give us the precise details of the BSOD and we should be able to help you out. I'm pretty good at tracking those buggers down and diagnosing them. One of us will hopefully be able to help.

It is about "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION"
Technical Information:
Stop: 0x0000009C (0x00000001, 0x8054DA70, 0xF2000000, 0x00000105)

but i found something about the error...if i make change of Frequency/Voltage Control..after that the blue screen error will be change to different error everytime when i make change of it.

Thank you for u help:P

Here you go pal. Here are the different things that cause the error. Frankly I place by bets on the RAM or an overheating CPU:

This behavior occurs because your computer processor detected and reported an unrecoverable hardware error to Windows XP. To do this, the processor used the Machine Check Exception (MCE) feature of Pentium processors or the Machine Check Architecture (MCA) feature of some Pentium Pro processors. The following factors may cause this error message:

• System bus errors
• Memory errors that may include parity or Error Correction Code (ECC) problems
• Cache errors in the processor or hardware
• Translation Lookaside Buffers (TLB) errors in the processor
• Other CPU-vendor specific detected hardware problems
• Vendor-specific detected hardware problems

I see..then can you teach me how to solve this kind of problem? I was already change the RAM, but the problem still occur.

Like SirKenin said, you either have a faulty/overheating CPU or bad RAM. There's a chance it could be some other things, but those are the main two.

If you have access to another working machine, download a copy of Memtest86 and put it on a floppy or burn it on a CD.

Reboot the machine with the CD in. Let the test run for about 30 mins at least and see if it reports any errors. If the memory is bad, it will usually report errors in the first pass (typically within the first few minutes or even seconds).

If the memory checks out (i.e. if it runs without errors for a minimum of 2 hours) then it is likely the CPU. What are your temperatures? If Memtest is finding errors however then you have bad RAM. Try taking out a stick or swapping them around. If you only have one stick, try borrowing a friend's if you can.
