Upgrade for Athlon XP 2600+

That's crap lol, anyway leaving that aside a athlon 3200 socket A (462 which is obsolete ) or a 3400 but you will have trouble seeing the 3400

i didn't think we were here to diss other peoples systems, or is that just something that people like me with average spec systems say? LOL

however, at a price of $344, it would actually be more worthwhile, maybe even cheaper, to upgrade to a core 2 duo. around $220 for a cpu, and a motherboard for around $100 dollars. or could just get an Athlon 3000 XP for only $175: http://www.starmicro.net/detail.aspx?ID=563

both found via http://www.pricewatch.com
if pricewatch didn't have them, theres also E-Bay, where you can find pretty much anything computer related.

I know how you feel dude, I have a socket A (462) CPU, worse then yours :P

I have the 2400+

It'd be worthwhile getting a new MOBO, an LGA775 socket and an Intel Core3 2 Duo E6300.

It'll be good for a couple of years to come :)
