Upgrade for the newest games

I soon want to upgrade my computer to play the new games that are coming out such as Crysis. How much do you think this would cost and what should I upgrade on my system? Thanks

My Computer Specs-
Video card- NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT/GTO

Processor- 2.20 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
128 kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Motherboard- Board: MSI MS-7250 1.0
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 080014 05/18/2006

Hard drive- 250.05 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity

Memory Slots-
2048 Megabytes Installed Memory
Slot 'DIMM0' is Empty
Slot 'DIMM1' is Empty
Slot 'DIMM2' has 1024 MB
Slot 'DIMM3' has 1024 MB

OS- Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)
 
Well an 8800 is essential to play the newest games at the best settings, if you can find one in your budget. Your processor could probably use an update also.

I wouldn't upgrade it yet if i were you, i would wait till crysis is out and then upgrade that would be probably the best way to be to day with that kind of games
 
Will the comp in my sig be able to play Crysis, i have heard some people saying that Crysis will be to powerful for PS3 and 360 to even play, is that true?

It will be able to play it yes, but on high settings, no one knows yet. There was a early version that was tested on SLI GTX's and it was barely playable. That was an early version so it probaly wasn't optimised.
