upgrade from 3500 socket 939?

So as we all know socket 939 is outdated.
But, is it worth the 100 to upgrade to an X2 from my current 3500 single core?
I just want to squeeze more life out of my pc, and I think an X2 would be a great option to put off completely rebuilding for a while?

Yes that should last you a good while. But I would upgrade to at least 1 Gig if your going for dual core. And are you going to switch to socket AM2 or just stick to 939?

It might be worth it if your other option is only building a 400 rig

Well right now, I could build an awesome rig. But I do not want to blow that much money yet, due to the fact that I am simply saving.

Then I would buy the X2 to hold you over until you want to build a really good computer.
