Can I upgrade the laptop running Turion TL-52 processor to TL-66?
Both use the same socket S1.
Specifically I am thinking of upgrade from Trinidad TMDTL52HAX5CT to Tylor TMDTL66HAX5DC.
The tl-52 is 90nm technology where tl-66 in 65nm.
you shouldn't but turion is a laptop cpu so im assuming its a laptop... their for made by one of the bigbox companies ie dell hp compaq someone... any ways it dosnt really matter if you can pull up the original options sheets and see if the tl-66 was an option you will be great but if its not.. it still may work but theirs no telling these manufactures do strange things with the bios so its a guess..
could be, can you be certain the 66 is supported by your motherboard? otherwise id just get a TL-60 for now, their fairly cheap, and can be had for about 25 bucks, its a significant bang for your buck to me
