Upgrade my PC or get a new set up?

I have an Intel i5-3570 (3.4GHz) and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti (overclocked) with 2 fans (can give more information if needed), and im having overheating problems... was wondering if its worth getting liquid cooling or if that's not the right approach for the problem, what is?

I've looked online with this problem i was having and found that it was due to my PC over heating while i was playing games. I gave it a good clean (get rid of the dust) and added a second fan to maybe help the problem, but to no avail. Worth getting a new computer? upgrading? maybe getting liquid cooling? endless fans?

Thanks in advance

What cooler do you have now?

Since you already have socket 1155 equipment you won't see that much of a gain by upgrading (making it not very worth the upgrade cost). There are other heatsinks you can buy than the default one such as the Hyper 212 EVO that are both inexpensive and perform to a reasonable degree.

What specifically is overheating?

Its my CPU thats over heating, but when ever it does my graphics card says its been disconnected but recovered. As for a cooling box i don't actually have one (except for the default fan on the motherboard and 2 separate fans on the side).
