Upgrade Questions

Hello, I have a few questions and I hope its not a stupid one. I am very comfortable with my current custom PC that runs vista, of which it's specs are listed below. I have everything just the way I want it software wise. I want to do an overhaul of everything hardware wise, but keep my hard drives as they are if possible... And as you see, thats quite an overhaul.

My questions are 1) Can I just switch everything and have it boot and run? And 2) If not, if I instead I do a fresh install on a new hard drive, can I back up my WHOLE original drive using software like Acronis TrueImage, and use the back-up to overlay everything just the way it was? Thanks,

~Tim

I was always into computers. We had a computer in our house as far back as when I was 5 (im 29 now) and I remember playing the old dos games and before windows. I would upgrade to a new PC about every 5 years I get a new PC. I built one on my own 5 years ago to try it out. I got addicted to it, and now, I'm getting the latest motherboard, chip, and ram. I play a ton of games, and I wanted to build a new monster of a computer.

If you are going to be gaming I highly suggest you cut down on the RAM and upgrade the GPU unless you are still under budget then keep the RAM, but in any case upgrade that Video Card.
