Upgrade Ram or Hard Drive

I currently a IDE hard drive and 512mg of budget ram. Which would I see a increased improvement from, better ram and more of it with lower latency or RAID 1 with 2 SATA drives?

more ram and getting the better quality stuff will improve games and programs like photoshop, having a RAID array with 2x sata's will improve windows load times, time it takes to load programs, and it will transfer files much quicker. so its up to you.
