I'd just start afresh to be honest, keep the soundcard and other bits like the speakers etc because they can be used again, my first soundcard was a 6 year old Sound Blaster and it worked fine. You can build a very cheap PC for less than $500 that will outperform yours easily.

well, hard to say, you could add more ram, but it'd be a waste. A good budget $500 will do decent in all fields of computing. It'd be a waste to upgrade your current system.

None, to be honest the PC isn't worth upgrading any longer, here is a build for less than $600 that would easily be more worth it:

SP2B? I thought it was SP3?

Anyway, that build is pretty good... Pretty overclockable, gotta love Core architecture, Gigabyte boards, and the P3x chipsets....

SP2B seems to be the bizzare name for SP2, SP3 hasn't been released as a full release candidate, it's still a BETA.

EDIT: Change tha DVD drive to a SATA version, I have the SATA version and it's very good, must have not seen the IDE bit.
