Upgrade to 5850

I built my computer in 2010 and bought a HD 5850 at the time, thinking I could add another one in the future when prices came down.
For the past year or so I've been casually looking around and I've noticed that the 5850 is fairly expensive still, and somewhat hard to find. I recently found that this maybe has something to do with bitcoin mining?

Anyway, if I was gonna spend 150-200 on a graphics upgrade, what would you suggest. My power supply should handle crossfire fine so that's not a huge issue. So go for another 5850 or 5870, or just ditch the old card and get a 7xxx.

Thanks.

2 5850's will kill any card for 200, hell, would probs kill a 660ti which is nearly 300

will about equal a 660ti after research, only game it should really loose at would be skyrim which apparently doesn't play well with crossfire.

This, but if you went the new card route I'd advise a 7850.

But finding another 5850 would be a better choice overall. Keep in mind it will be louder, hotter, and more power hungry with 2 cards rather than 1 more efficient (albeit less powerful) than 2.

I'd actually say what you want is one more up-to-date card. Go for a 7850 or a 7870 and then you can CF either of those down the line and get better performance than you would by CF'ing two 5850s. 7850s/7870s are more power efficient too.
