Upgrade to WIndows XP 64 Bit?

I have asked this before, but I did not get a very convincing answer.

I am running XP pro 32 bit but I have a tricore processor. I know I am basically losing that third core. Would there be a great advantage to upgrading to XP 64 bit? Im not a fan of Vista (I prefer to use the VistaMize program to the special touches)

I mostly use my computer for photoshop/illustrator, audio/movies and a few games.

Should I get and install the 64 bit or just suck it up until Windows 7 comes along????

XP supports three cores just as well as XP 64. XP 64 driver and program support sucks. Would use Vista 64 anyday before XP 64.

did not know that. thanks!

That being said...performance wise and feature wise...would sticking with XP pro 32bit (with VistaMize) be just as good as Vista 64 bit?

Using a 32 bit os, you are not using all the ram u have. I run xp x64. and the only real problem I had was that my webcam did not have the drivers, and logitech rather have me buy a new camera, but they don't have any for x64bit in my price range. I am looking at a creative labs one on newegg that supports the xp pro x64 os. And there is some software programs that have some troubles, like webroot spysweeper. they made 64 bit program for vista, but they were to lazy or stupid make it for x64 xp pro.
