i just got a laptop (compaq persario 1685), it has windows 98 se, i was wondering if that i upgrade it to millenuim edition, would I lose office 2000 premium and my dvd software?

Why would you upgrade to ME???????

Anyways, if you just did the upgrade then all your files and apps should still be there, however you need to make sure that the software you currently have installed is compatible with Windows ME, otherwise it wont work.

You should still do a full backup however before performing and upgrade.
