Upgraded PSU makes more noise... normal?

I just upgraded my PSU from 550W to 650W and it seem to increase fans rpm... and now its making louder fan noise than before...

Is this normal? I think I want to set all the fan speed to low.

Picked it up for $100 at Fry's Electronics. There is a $40 rebate so... total $60

well technically, you can set fans to lower rpms either through programs or those parts that have fan control speeds. usually if you wanna lower the rpm, either i'd get a fan that has a built on speed controller OR i'd get that one part that takes up a cd drive where oyu can control the speed just by twisting to the speed you want.

I have that same PSU and it's pretty quiet, however you might have an overall quieter system. It's probably louder than your old one because it uses a different fan speed/temp control with different rpm per degree.
