Upgrades for hp compaq small form factor

Hi,
I've have an old/new hp compaq 8000 elite and it has a dual core with 2gb of ram (soon to be upgraded to 4, 6 or 8 what is the maximum amount of ram it can handle and what type of ram. The cpu is an e6500 which isn't the best I know i'm using it for recording games on steam in 30fps and hd-ish at least I want to what upgrades can I make to it so it's more suited to that sort of thing.

You will need rubbing alcohol to clean heat sink and reapply new thermal phase.
RAM get 2 x4gb ram
Can consider a 25w gpu like 64bit gt 730

Thank you for that I already have an get 610 which works pretty well and I thought that a hp compaq could only handle a dual core and would a secondary hard drive help so I save the recording to that one because I've already got a wd 1.5tb at 3gbps

Also, a 1.5tb drive is pretty huge. Do you really think you'll need a second drive?

Second HDD is very helpful for reconding purposes. Either get SSD for OS and other programs or buy another HDD that just handles recording files.

That was what I was thinking getting a solid state and using that as primary and using the 1.5 for putting recordings and get 2 4b of ram or 2 2gb of ram

And a quad core now

What program would that be?
