Upgrades

Hello guys, i bough my pc 5 years ago, it was a beast, but now im feeling lack of performance and i want to upgrade it.

I was really hoping you guys could give me some nice setups.

The stuff i need is a motherboard, CPU, Graphic board, Ram and an ssd drive, i have the rest of the stuff ready to assemble the pc.

What is your current setup? Windows performance degrades over time. I'm assuming this has Vista or perhaps 7 installed on it?
 
intel core 2 quad4590 2.66Ghz
Maximus II formula
not sure about the ram but its g.skill 2gb+2gb ddr
Asus EAH6770 1024mb

Not sure about my power source either, bough it sometime ago, but im pretty sure its a corsair 600w.

and my SO is windows 7
 
You mean the Q9450?

Well only running 4gb so you are most likely lacking there and the 6770 won't play many of the higher demanding games decently.

Do you have a budget you are trying to stay within? An AMD build would be cheaper than an Intel.
 
^ That pretty much sums it up.

You could probably 'get by' with a RAM upgrade if your only concern was stuttering/lag from swapping to virtual memory.

What kind of budget do you have for this new build?

I dont really care about AMD or intel.

I also have one more question, Nvidia or ATI? i had an nvidia gtx280 but it pretty much burned. i was able to play anything for 5 minutes before it freezes.

Again sorry for my lack of skills in english
