Upgrading 3 components

Hey everyone,

I posted some more specific threads about these before but due to some unforseen complications my orders got voided.

So back to square one.

I need a PCI-E video card, 2gb of RAM, and a new power supply to fuel it all most likely.

I have a Dell Precision 370 with 512 pc2-ddr2 3200 RAM and a x300SE ATI card. I am looking at the 7800GT and 2gb of ram to add to make it 2.5 total.
My budget is .. well just try to keep it around 500 or a little over, ... or less is always good too!

Thanks everyone. Also, I'm really confused with the whole power supply thing so can someone who recommends that explain how it fuels the PCI-E card because they keep saying something about needing 26A or something on the 12V... whatever that means.

I like the RAM and the Video card, they are essentially what I had before anyway, but will that Power supply be adequate for the RAM and the Video Card plus my SATA??

Actually, is that RAM sorta expensive? I think I could get cheaper unless I would be jipping myself.

When it comes to PSUs. you want Dual +12V rails. and at least 12A on each rail. so basically a combined of 25A or above.

k, last two questions then,

what's wrong with this RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820150630

and also,

Whats the difference between the eVGA 285 dollar one and the 295 dollar one with the 20 dollar rebate besides paying 10 more dollars to get 10 back?

that ram is fine. i personally havent had much expirience with Buffalo Ram but it got good reviews. that ram doesnt have heatspreaders, which i prefer for overclocking.

can u post links to the 2 evga cards that you are comparing.

if your not going to overclock then you dont need them. as for the videocards get the one with the rebate they both are the same.

exactly, the cards have the exact same speeds, so get the cheaper one.
