Hello,

I'm new on the forum, so hello to all. I wonder if it's possible to upgrade this: http://uk.hardware.info/productinfo/83144/acer-ferrari-one-200-313g25n#tab:specifications with those parts:http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listparts.aspx?model=Ferrari One 200&Cat=RAM and http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Turion 64 X2 Mobile technology TL-66 - TMDTL66HAX5DC.html or http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Turion 64 X2 Mobile technology TL-66 - TMDTL66HAX5DM.html I'm going to university therefore I need something faster and basically more powerfull as I will be doing IT course. Thanks for any response!

Well it supports up to 4gb ddr2 800mhz ram but not sure about the processor. But anytime you put in a faster processor you have to worry about the added heat, which is bad for a laptop. Contact Acer to see what other cpu's it supports if any. But like I said, its better to just buy a new one with the specs you are looking for.

Ok, I'll do so, but should I just go into the computer shop and talk with the tech guys? Wouldn't that be enough?

They may or may not know. All they can do is look online and I already have and can't find anywhere where it says what cpu's that model supports.

Added heat could be very bad for a laptop of that size. I would just say upgrade the RAM, no more unless you find a CPU with the same TDP.
