upgrading!!! help!!!

Unfortunately, Pentium 4's are not the best game performers and 1.9Ghz is certainly not enough to run even on low. The most you can do is buying one of these AGP cards and see how everything works out:

Just don't expect to run Call of Duty on high or even medium settings. The best way to go would be to upgrade everything; basically build a new comp. ;)

Hope that helped :)

thanks for your advice, im going to try and upgrade without buying a new pc, ill spend up to £100 before i give up and buy a new one. can anyone reccomend a new pcie or agp card for around that money??

Get a new computer...even with an up to date video card, it won't run cod4 that well. You can buy a budget PC that will run it relatively smoothly for around 500 dollars if you pick your parts wisely.

Your computer is really old, no matter what you do, it won't run the new stuff well even on low settings. 4 years is alot in relation to computers...somewhat like a dog.

PS: Your computer is barely upgradeable...most upgrades you'll do will go to waste because it is just so old.

if all you want it for is cod4 id just buy an xbox 360. i guess youre still spending 300+ but if you want to play on a computer youre going to need more memory a good gpu and a new cpu which will probably end up costing more

Hmm, interesting. As for me if I were him I would buy a new PC because never know in the future Call of Duty 5 won't be able to run or any types of great games.
