Upgrading memory and HDD

My Toshiba Satellite A200 TJ5 Comes with 300GB SATA HDD and 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM memory. My first question is.

Are SATA II and SATA compatible?
Is the a HDD capacity maximum for SATA drives?
Is DDR2 and DDR3 compatible?

Thanks for your help.

-Yes, they are compatible with each other.
-SATA drives do not have a "max" per se, but you'll be limited by the largest 2.5" sata drive you can buy.
-DDR2 and DDR3 are not compatible, also, your laptop will use SODIMM's incase you don't already know that.

What is SODIMM?

Is it worth it too upgrade my laptop?

what form factor am I looking for probably 2,5 inches?

SO-DIMM is basically just a different, smaller type of RAM. 2 gigs is fine for most stuff, but what exactly are you looking to do?

I'm looking to do video editing and photo editing. I will be using photoshop cs5 and premiere pro cs5. I want the bigger hard drive so I don't need to fetch everything from my external drives. More RAM will help with rendering but I am not sure if the upgrade is worthwhile or should I just get a new laptop.
